Bhupendra Jaiswal

Yashasvi Jaiswal (known as Jaisu in Indian cricket team) was born on 28 December 2001 in Suriyawan, Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh, as the fourth of six children, to Bhupendra Jaiswal, the owner of a small hardware store, and Kanchan Jaiswal, a housewife. At the age of ten, he moved to Mumbai to receive cricket training at Azad Maidan. He was initially given accommodation in a dairy shop in return for work but was evicted by the shopkeeper as he was unable to work frequently. As a result, he lived in a tent with the groundsmen at the Azad Maidan, where he sold panipuri to make ends meet. After living in tents for three years, Yashasvi Jaiswal's cricketing potential was spotted in December 2013 by Jwala Singh, who ran a cricket academy in Santacruz, Mumbai. He provided Yashasvi Jaiswal with a place to stay, before becoming his legal guardian and obtaining his power of attorney.

Yashasvi Jaiswal became the third youngest Indian batsman, after Sunil Gavaskar and Vinod Kambli, to score a double hundred in Test cricket. In the next match of the series, Yashasvi Jaiswal scored another double century, becoming third Indian batter after Vinod Kambli and Virat Kohli to hit double centuries in consecutive Test matches.

AP Jaiswal Sabha Hyderabad v Parasram Jaiswal Trust Board, Hyderabad

Advocate Rahul Dev:- "Did the trustees gave all the accounts; supporting documents with receipts since last 16 years.... Tell me, Sainath Jaiswal ji, is this right or wrong??? I have great respect for you, but you & other council members are not fighting for the rights of the Samaj. Please understand. Me, my children or any of my family members are not seeking for any scholarship or would at any time, but I am fighting for rights of poor students of Samaj and for the self-respect of senior members like you. If you say it is wrong to fight for poor students of the Samaj self respect of senior others, I would not hesitate to bow down? Explain?" - Facebook

Rahul Dev:- Mr. Parikshit Jaiswal,

I have read your post on face-book and want to reply your queries as follows: As to how the groups were divided, how 1700 members turned up for voting, how I have allowed the enrollments etc etc, does not have any relevance with the present issue regarding the Parasram Trust. The elections are over & it has been nearly three years and the present council is about to complete its term within two months.

Regarding, whether I have conducted the elections in a fair manner or not, for which I have video CD of entire Election Day including counting of votes as well as all the documents to substantiate all the decisions taken during elections. Regarding, whether the Jaiswals outside Hyderabad has power to vote & contest elections…. Do you want to say that they are not primary members & Districts does not come within A.P. or Telangana? If you have any doubt about this, please refer the Sansmarika, where the names of all primary members are listed.

My question is why Election issue is being raised after nearly three years……….. and what is the connection between the affairs of the Parasram Trust and Elections??? Are there any vested interests who wanted to put pressure/blackmail by putting these false allegations?????? Tell them I am not going to bow down by such tactics.

Regarding your allegation that I am barging into the Sabha Office? For your information, I have never barged into the Sabha Office or tried to interfere in their affairs. I have visited or attended the council meetings/Sabha office only on the invitation of the Council, as a special invitee, for which I have copies of the letters of such invitations and another copy will be with the Secretary of the Sabha, which you can obtain from the office of the Sabha.

Regarding the renewal of registration, I have only assisted for renewal on the specific request of the council and infact the council passed a resolution & requested me to assist them for renewal and the renewal papers were submitted as told. If anything was wrong with the papers (which was submitted more than a year ago), why no steps were taken by anyone? On the contrary, I was felicitated on the Annual Day on the Dias for conducting fair & successful elections as well as felicitated during scholarship distribution with a shawl & garland by the present president before the community in presence of the entire council. Were you sleeping that time and did not raised these issues and bringing this now, just because I have raised the affairs of Parasram Trust.

If anyone still has any doubts about the elections or about my credentials, I have all the documents including the video CD as well a letter given by 31 ex-council members requesting things, which was replied by registered post & attested by them, which I wanted to make public and the same would clarify many things. If the affairs of the elections are questioned. I will put a request to the present council to make such CD as well as all documents including reply-letter send to 31 ex-council members rejecting their request and would send such copies to all primary members.

So, do not relate elections with other issues; advise the vested interests behind your post that I have definite & substantial proof for all my actions done during elections and subsequently while giving assistance to council for various things and would not bow down to such tactics. - Rahul Dev

Parikshit Jaiswal: Para wise comments to your response are as follows: Are you trying to tell the blunders committed by you while conducting the elections three years back are to be condoned?

The point is not whether Jaiswals outside Hyderabad are primary members or not. The point is are Jaiswals from outside Hyderabad allowed to participate in the elections as per the constitution of AP Kalwar Jaiswal Sabha.

The question is not why the election issue is being raised after three years. The question is why you conducted elections by violating the constitution of AP Kalwar Jaiswal Sabha. Did you have any ulterior motive like splitting Jaiswal Sabha into two or more groups, sending your own people to the council so that you can rule by proxy?

Why are you being called to Council meetings? What expertise you have which the 31 Council members do not have that you are being invited for the council meetings. If you have some expertise which none of the jaiswals have, then please get elected to the council next time and then participate in the council meetings.

Are the 31 council members not adequate to carry out the registration work that they need the help of the 32nd person? The question is not whether I was sleeping or not. The question is why and how long you will fool the council members and all primary jaiswal members.

Nobody is interested in your CD. The question is whether you have conducted the elections as per the constitution of AP Kalwar Jaiswal Sabha or not. And the answer to this question will come if you honestly answer the questions raised by me earlier and not diverting from the main issue by giving tangential answers. While I am aware that all issues are independent, the conduct of elections as per the constitution of AP Kalwar Jaiswal Sabha needs to be established. - Facebook

Pratyush Aminah @ Parikshit Jaiswal ji. I have voted in last elections and have also come across people who came from districts to vote for their favorite candidates the scene was delightful to watch every jaiswal who came to vote felt like they were a part of the jaiswal family and felt proud of coming to vote. I must say that after a long time we got this right to vote and should be thankful to the people behind who conducted this free and fair elections. I would want this to be conducted every term now.

Coming to this parasram trust issue. The councils and primary members are only asking for the accounts details, after repeated requests they were not able to provide the details and hence they had to intervene and look into the trust funds in details and it came out that the trust money was not going to the deserving candidates of our community. There nothing as such called divide and rule here the councils has always done the work unitedly and tried to do the same with getting details of the parasram trust and when they were sure that there is something wrong going on they had to goto someone who has wide knowledge on not only in judicial matters but of our community people and the sabha members. They are just demanding their rights being in the council which their right to information. - Facebook

Advocate Rahul Dev:-  This shows that Parikshit Jaiswal is a proxy of trustees. Parikshit, tell the trustees that I am not going to bow down to any pressures. I request all Jaiswals to wake up n protest the high handedness of trustees, who are saying that Jaiswals are not Hai Hai kshtriya n we do not have right to ask for accounts n that our sabha is not registered. - Facebook

Rahul Dev Tell me, did you not asked for accounts on 25-12-2012 and other dates? Whether Arjun Kumar requested for accounts on number of times as well as through six different letters and others also requested for accounts and it was refused by trustees that "no one has any rights to ask for accounts"? Did I and others also not asked for accounts, which was refused saying that " we do not have any right to ask for accounts? Did you, Arjun Kumarji Kamalrajji as a co-trustees were not invited for the meetings or shown accounts? Were you aware as to, no appeal filed against the order of the court for not raising construction on first floor of the building and non-collection of rents from two tenants for 6 years; 3 years; no steps were taken for their eviction. It was me who got all this information. Even the other office bearers; council members were not aware and everyone in the Samaj, who are real beneficieries were kept in dark and the trustees always behaved highhandedly saying "no one has any right to ask for accounts". - Facebook

Rahul Dev:- Moreover, the trustees threatened all the council members time & again that if anyone ask for more aid for students they would stop giving scholarship through Sabha. Do you want to justify these acts of trustees as fair and is my asking their resignation after the entire sabha & council going through this ordeal is an offence?

Why St. Paul's High School Is Brilliant

Tanishq Jaiswal, a student of St. Paul’s High School, was told to remove himself from the school.  It took a meeting with Hyderabad Collector Mukesh Kumar Meena, who intervened and directed the school management not to disturb the boy’s study and let him continue in the school.

St. Paul's High School, Hyderguda, Hyderabad
St. Paul's High School, Hyderguda, Hyderabad

It appears that St. Paul High School Principal and management was concerned about Tanishq Jaiswal's diabetes and the insulin medication.  So, instead of evaluating this concern and working out a solution, the brilliant people of St. Paul's High School decided to show the door to a student.  Very impressive indeed.

Mr. Meena called the boy’s parents — Neeraj Jaiswal and Vaishali Jaiswal — and St. Paul’s Principal Bro. Sudhakar Reddy, to sort out the controversy arising out of the Principal’s insistence on issuing a Transfer Certificate to Tanishq.

Hyderabad Collector Mukesh Kumar Meena
Hyderabad Collector Mukesh Kumar Meena

Thanks to the collector for putting some tablets of common sense into the minds of management of St. Paul's High School, Hyderguda, Hyderabad.

It seems that the Collector told the Principal Brother Sudhakar Reddy that the question of Tanishq Jaiswal's removal from school did not arise. He also asked the Principal Brother Sudhakar Reddy not to put any conditions on the parents regarding furnishing of a written undertaking.   Hmmm, Bro. Sudhakar Reddy, why not ask the parents to furnish a written undertaking from Supreme Court of India?

“However, it is better that an adult should administer the insulin injection instead of the child taking himself,” Mr. Mukesh Kumar Meena told the parents. He gave them four days time to make arrangements to administer the injection themselves or someone else to do it on their behalf.

Jaiswal Marriages in Hyderabad follow new customs

Jaiswal marriages in Hyderabad have experienced a lot of changes during the past decade.  The changes are both good and bad.  Here are some thoughts, if you have any, do share them in comments.

Positive changes in Jaiswal marriages and customs in Hyderabad
  • The problem of dowry to marry off a girl seems to be decreasing.
  • Intercaste marriages are not rare among Jaiswal community members in Hyderabad.  It is no longer a taboo for Jaiswal women to marry men from other Hindu communities.  Jaiswal women from Hyderabad are getting married to men from Telugu/South Indian background.
  • In rare cases, Jaiswal women have married Muslim men and unfortunately the success rate has not been great.  A Jaiswal woman marrying a Muslim man would mean a conversion of religion from Hinduism to Islam and eating beef and this is still avoided by most Jaiswal community members.
Negative changes in Jaiswal marriages and customs in Hyderabad
  • There was a time in Hyderabad where Jaiswal sabha community used to talk about samuhik marriages.  Now marriages have become a chance for people to show off their wealth.  The rich might enjoy this show off behavior briefly for a few days but what about the middle class and poor Jaiswal community members.  Why not show off Jaiswal sanskaar instead?
  • Relationships have become more shallow and breakable.  Fights among close relatives over money or power have become disturbingly severe and common.  In fact, the people themselves have changed not only in Jaiswal community but Hyderabad itself.
  • Arranged marriages of girls who are from a poor background or not the best looks are a nightmare for parents.
  • Women dancing during marriages was rare.  Nowadays this is common.

Jaiswal Brothers home in Doodhbowli held treasure trove

Jaiswal brothers, Prem Raj and Anand Raj were the owners of the home in Doodhbowli Hyderabad that held precious items from Mughal and Roman period

Ashrafis from home owned by Jaiswal brothers

Five people were arrested on Tuesday for stealing antique gold and silver worth Rs 5 to 7 crore. Sources said that the treasure had been unearthed from an old house at Doodhbowli under the Kamatipura police station limits.

The police has seized 1.7 kg of gold coins and ornaments and 4.6 kg of silver ornaments, which archaeologists say belong to the Mughal period and ancient Roman times.  The treasure was discovered from a wall when the house was being demolished for reconstruction.

Police commissioner Anurag Sharma said that labour contractors Mohammed Rafeeq and Abdul Bari, along with five labourers, stole the treasure and distributed it among themselves instead of informing the house owner and government authorities.

Sharma said that while the market value of the seized material was about Rs 50 lakh, its estimated antique value would be about Rs 5-7 crore. “As we are told by archaeologists, the gold and silver ornaments were crafted during the time of the Mughals. Thus they have great archaeological and historical importance. The gold coins or ‘ashrafis’ belong to the Mughal period while a few other coins are from ancient Rome,” he added.

Additional deputy commissioner of police, Commissioner’s Task Force, P. Rameshaiah said that the house in old city where the treasure was found, belonged to one Satish Kumar who had inherited it from his grandfather late Vishwanath. “The house was purchased by Vishwanath around 50 years ago from two brothers Prem Raj and Anand Raj,” Rameshaiah added.

The labour contractors, Rafeeq, 55, from Kishanbagh and Bari, 58, from Phoolbagh, had taken a contract to demolish the house in the third week of October. They had employed the other accused, S. Ramulu, 47, Mohammed Muneer, 55, and Mallesh, 23, for the work, said Ramehsaiah adding that two other accused, Ramulu and Yadaiah, were absconding.

“While demolishing the house, they found the treasure hidden in the wall of the western side room of the house. Twenty per cent was distributed among the labourers and the remaining 80 per cent was taken by the contractors Bhari and Rafeeq,” Rameshaiah added.

Cases have been booked against the accused under IPC Section 380 for theft and section 20 of the Indian Treasure Trove Act. They were handed over to the Kamatipura police for further action. Sources said that the treasure would be handed over to the state archaeological department.

Ex AP Jaiswal Sabha President writes Hyderabadi Itihas Ke Jharoke Mein.

Anand Raj Varma, former AP Jaiswal Sabha President and former Principal of Anwar Ul Uloom writes Itihas Ke Jharoke Mein.

Anand Raj Varma chronicles the history of Hyderabad right from Qutub Shahi kings down to the last Nizam

Throw a stone and it is likely to fall on some monument or the other. That's true of Hyderabad, the city of domes and minarets. The same can be said about the books written on the historic city. Every aspect of the nawabi shaher has been written about in vivid detail by a string of authors both in English and Urdu.

If there is a glaring void, it is Hindi.  Strangely, there is no monumental work done in the ‘Rashtriya bhasha', although some books have been written. Hindi lovers take heart – a comprehensive book will soon be out in the official language. A son of the soil, Anand Raj Varma, has taken the initiative to fill this long felt need.

A former principal of Anwar-ul-Uloom College, Dr. Varma has chronicled the history of Hyderabad right from the Qutub Shahi kings down to the last Nizam, Mir Osman Ali Khan. Not just history - the social, literary, cultural and administrative aspects of the erstwhile rulers have been meticulously captured by Dr. Varma in his forthcoming book –Hyderabad - Itihas Ke Jharoke Mein.

The book draws on the 166-odd articles written by Dr. Varma on the Hyderabad of yesteryears. “It is my humble contribution to the city of my birth,” says the 75-year-old writer who calls himself a ‘soldier of Urdu'.

What makes Dr. Varma's book unique is the large collection of anecdotes and little known things pertaining to the Nizams. This he has been able to gather after interacting with the old Hyderabadis and family members of the former rulers.

Sample this for instance: it was winter and the last Nizam gives Rs. 16 to his servant to get him a blanket. The latter comes back after sometime and says the blanket costs Rs. 18. The Nizam raises his eyebrows in surprise and says he would rather make do with the old rug. Shortly thereafter the Imam of a mosque walks in with a request for money to repair the masjid courtyard.

“How much will it cost”, the Nizam asks. The man hesitatingly replies ‘Sarkar, char lakh. 'To his surprise the Nizam hands him Rs. 16 lakh asking the Imam to repair the entire mosque and not just the courtyard.

“This shows that the Nizam was not a miser as he is made out to be. Only he did not want to spend on himself”, points out Dr. Varma.

There are many such interesting titbits in the book. It also includes the Hyderabadi cuisine and which dish was popular with whom. There are also a good collection of typical Deccani adages. Take this one for instance:

Kahan Nizam Ali, Kahan pyaz ki dali (Comparative phrase for comparing the mighty with the lowly)

Or the more hilarious: Halki dosti sang nakko paon mein juti tung nakko (An all too casual friendship is like an ill-fitting shoe)

Dr. Arun Jaiswal to contest

I heard that Dr. Arun Jaiswal is going to contest for the Andhra Pradesh Jaiswal Sabha committee post. So, there is hope for the Jaiswal community in the twin cities. Dr. Arun Jaiswal was my pediatrician. He is a good man.

Jaiswal Marriages

I went to a Jaiswal community marriage recently. The marriage procession was late because the bridegroom's family members and company were dancing to loud noise/music surrounded by traffic, dust and the smell of urine! Hundreds of people were kept waiting while they grumbled under their breath.

Is there anyone out there who thinks that there is something wrong this? Can there be a better way of celebrating happy events?

Ajit Kumar Jaiswal is a engineer with Hyderabad Metro Water Supply & Sewerage Board. What I have heard about him from Jaiswal community members and her relatives of the Hyderabad and Seunderabad is that Ajit Kumar Jaiswal incharge of giving water connections.  He does not give out any water connections without accepting a bribe. His income and property is not in proportion to his salary.  I do not know if this is true or not. The question is why people like Ajit Kumar Jaiswal who have a poor background are pretending to be leaders of Andrha Pradesh Jaiswal Sabha.

These people like in the Jaiswal community who have a poor background should voluntarily choose not to take up any leadership positions for the community. When assholes become part of leadership of Jaiswal Sabha, the many good people in the community also become guilty by association.
